Am I being dim, or is there no "getCellBorder" to go with "setCellBorder"?
I want to read the border info of table cells but don't see a way to do it.

Could you please expand a bit what you mean with "stored in system attributes"? Is there a way to somehow read this information?

Peter

The system attribute are hidden unless you choose to show them from:
Tools - Options - Settings - Show - Advanced System Attributes
Then they will show up like other Object Attributes.
Object o = current()
print(o."TableTopBorder" "\n")
print(o."TableLeftBorder" "\n")
print(o."TableBottomBorder" "\n")
print(o."TableRightBorder" "\n")

Getting the answer yourself just after asking the question is very common. I heard a rather good explanation; about opening your mind yaddy yaddy putting nebulous thoughts into objective words yaddy yaddy. I try to take advantage of that by posing the question then minimizing the window instead of "Post Message" and prettend I sent it. Give a couple hourse then post it.

There still is a function getCellBorder but it seems to be not documented in the DOORS DXL Reference Manual.
TableBorderStyle getCellBorder(Object tableCell, TableBorderPosition edge)
